December Schedule

Bob Fraioli playing Solo Piano
Every Thursday from 5:30pm – 9:30pm

“Bob Fraioli is one of St. Augustine’s musical treasures, a musician so good you’d expect him to be playing with all the big names in jazz in New York. In fact, that’s where life began for him but later moved to California, not to mention service in Vietnam, before settling in Palm Coast.
Piano was an early passion, studying classical piano at Jacksonville University but it was jazz that really beckoned to him - he began played boogie-woogie when was 8. One of his lifelong regrets is that he avoided the opportunity of studying with one of his idols. the great Oscar Peterson because of extenuating family reasons. But that didn’t stop him listening to everything by Oscar and his other great idol Bill Evans.
Playing jazz has been a lifetime passion for him but it’s had its problems because Bob, surprisingly, is partially deaf, which, as he says, makes it real difficult to play in bands so solo piano or trio and quartet work has been his main staple.
His describes his gig for almost four years now at the Tini Martini Bar on the bayfront in St. Augustine as just wonderful. You can catch him there on Thursdays and Saturdays from 5.30 pm playing his jazz and just about everything else that the customers request. There’s very little he says no to but ask for Oscar or Bill Evans and Bob’s in his heaven. Treat yourself and go see one of our local treasures.”
